The Good News in Haiti

“Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere — a place where, even before the catastrophic earthquake, nearly 80 percent of the population lived on less than $2 per day.”
                                                                            –World Vision

If WE got hit with this earthquake, we’d be devastated. Now imagine already having nothing and losing everything.

The word gospel literally means, “Good News.” How can there possibly be good news in Haiti right now?
There are many followers of Jesus Christ in Haiti, and we know God wants to use this event to add many souls to His Church. Imagine people all over the island giving their lives to Jesus, trusting on Him to have their sins forgiven and entering a relationship with God. We pray this massive loss of life will result in masses gaining eternal life.

Ball for Lives will be donating to Samaritan’s Purse’s Haiti Relief Fund. Donations of ANY amount are an enormous help to people who typically only earn $2 a day. Your $10 is comparable to a whole work week’s salary!!
Join us in furthering the Kingdom of God in Haiti by helping to support this work as well:

They already sent a plane full of emergency supplies on Wednesday and will be sending 5 more today. Samaritan’s  Purse is passionate about helping the physical needs of hurting people, but they are even more driven by Christ’s mandate to spread the gospel throughout all the world.

Forward this post to let people know about what’s going on and how they can get involved!

This is our opportunity to save lives that are being lost very quickly. Many non-believers will respond to this crisis; let’s make sure the Body of Christ is there to spread the good news of the  gospel.

That’s amazing that they were able to get down there on wednesday. I’ll pray that the Lord will make himself known to folks in haiti.

I donated to World Vision this morning and was able to get my company to match my donation, maybe companies will match Samaritan’s Purse too…
