30 Hours with no food while doing service projects throughout an entire Saturday??
“It was amazing!!”
The
30 Hour Famine was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone. Check out the pics (Thanks Wit!):
Our morning started with prayer and reading
1 John chapters 3 and 4. After writing letters to Ball for Lives supporters, we went out looking for people who needed help shoveling. Sure enough, we helped several different people, two of which gave very generous donations when they heard why we were serving! Best of all, we gave these people copies of the Book of John from the New Testament, and shared what Christ did for us on the cross.
Then we visited Mr. Buonsignore (an Italian last name that even makes an Occhiogrosso jealous!). He is in his 90′s, still looking for opportunities to share the gospel with people, and always encouraging us to stay faithful to Christ. What a blessing he was to us!
Then we returned to Fairview Gospel to watch a very powerful movie. If you want to be moved to action, this is the type of movie you want to see.

- Beyond the Gates depicts the genocide in Rwanda during the 1990′s.
Afterwards, we prayed with heavy hearts that God would use us to offer the hope Jesus to a suffering world.
Finally, we visited our brothers and sisters at Nazareth Baptist Church in West New York. We presented not only the 30 Hour Famine, but also the X Fund. Several teens expressed interest in joining this movement of purity that is rescuing child prostitutes around the globe. And I’m pretty confident they’ll be fasting with us for the next famine-right Josh??
If you’d like to join us in saving lives from starvation, we’ll be sending our 30 Hour Famine donations this weekend. All funds will be split between World Vision and Bethesda Outreach this weekend. Donate Here!
Next National Date for the Famine is April 24-25. You in??
